Move-In Day: New Student Checklist
Welcome to Goucher College!
While checking in, enjoy some refreshments and visit the resource tables.
1. Goucher College Check-In
- Check in begins in the First Year Village.
- Pick up your orientation booklet, schedule, and class t-shirt. (You'll need that shirt in the afternoon!)
- Manage the holds on your account, if you have them. Holds might exist for such things as (but not limited to): missing paperwork or forms, etc.
2. Room Key & One Card Pickup
- Stop by the Office of Residential Life table to pick up your room key.
- Please make sure your selfie is sent in ahead of time (selfie@goucher.edu) to speed up your check-in process.
3. OneCard Pickup, Complete Registration
- Pick up your OneCard from Campus Safety.
- Complete and finalize any online forms not completed in advance, including registering a vehicle for parking.
4. Dashboard Card & Guest Pass for Move-In
- Pick up your dashboard card and guest pass for the move-in process.
5. Residence Hall Move-In
- Volunteers will help you unload your car quickly.
- Remove your car from the Loop Road after unloading.

- Please refer to the Goucher Campus Map (PDF) for directions and locations.
- Stop by the First-Year Village between 8 am – 2 pm for refreshments, helpful resources, and professional staff who are ready to assist you.
- The Mary Fisher Dining Hall will be open to families at lunchtime. Lunch will be $13.10+ tax.
- The College Store will be open, and a pop-up shop will also be available.
- The Campus Post Office will be open from 9 am – 3 pm.
- After moving in, if you plan to leave campus for a meal or shopping, please return after 12:45 p.m. to help ease traffic while others are moving in.
- If you forget to bring any essential items, you can find retail stores near campus such as Target and Marshalls.
