Magnuson Fund for Creative Partnerships

Established in 2017 in honor of Nancy Magnuson, College Librarian Emerita, the fund is intended to foster initiatives using library resources and services. Faculty, staff, students, and alumnae/i are eligible to apply, in collaboration with a library partner.

Grant requests are reviewed by the Creative Partnership Grant Committee (CPGC) appointed by the College Librarian

Funds are awarded on a rolling basis, as funding allows.  Requests may be submitted at any time during the year. Awards may range in amount from $300 - $1,000.

Projects must be concluded within one year of their start date.

Here are some examples of possible projects, but your creative ideas are very welcome:

  • Exhibit production, using main collection materials or SC&A materials,
  • Digitization projects,
  • Research projects involving spaces in the library,
  • Web-based tours or marketing activities,
  • Designing course related research activities.

Any questions concerning the fund please contact Michelle Hammond, Associate Vice President for the Library and Learning Commons.
