Passport Information

A valid passport is the most crucial travel document for international travel. Students are strongly encouraged to obtain or renew their passports as early as possible to avoid delays.

It is important to note that most countries require your passport to be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your program’s end date and to include at least two blank pages to make room for visas and entry/exit stamps. Please ensure your passport meets these requirements to avoid potential entry issues.

You can obtain passport-regulation photos at most post offices, discount department stores (like Walmart), or major drug store chains (like CVS or Walgreens).

Expedite Your Passport

If you need your passport in less than six (6) weeks, you will need to expedite your application and pay a higher processing fee. This can be done in person at a passport agency, through expedited mail services, or by utilizing a third-party passport expediting agency. Details on expedited services can be found on the U.S. Department of State website. Avoid waiting until the last minute for new passports or renewals.
