PBPM Alumni Profile:

Laurel Slongwhite

"It is hard to overestimate the value of Goucher's experience with advising students. Their familiarity with the process and their care for you as a person helps you prepare a polished application. It's an example of the expertise and supportive atmosphere I so appreciated."

Before starting at Goucher, Laurel worked as an audiologist. She had also trained as an American Sign Language interpreter and worked as an advocate for individuals with disabilities. During her post-bac year, she co-led a support group for LGBT students. She is now a fourth year student at the University of Maryland, and she plans to apply to residencies in Family Medicine.
