The grant provides funding to women who are perusing a graduate education, and are preparing to advance their career, change their career, or reenter the workforce. David Miller M.Ed. '97 published a book entitled, “Gabe & His Green Thumb,” which tells the story of a boy who discovers the power of growing food. Miller hopes the book will get students of color excited about reading early and often.
