AP Summer Institute

Since the mid-1990s, Goucher College has partnered with the College Board to provide AP teachers with high-quality training and valuable networking opportunities.

Our Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI) is designed for both new and experienced teachers. Teachers participating in an APSI will:

  • explore the course framework and exam.
  • create effective lesson plans.
  • learn to adjust the course pacing for optimal student success.
  • gain access to AP classroom resources such as unit guides, AP teacher community, and the AP question bank.
  • apply scoring guidelines from the most recent AP exam to student work.
  • engage in lively and meaningful discussions with fellow teachers from across the country.
