Low-level wastewater test positive result

The wastewater results in Welsh Hall indicated low-level traces of COVID-19 positivity. As per our established protocols, we have informed the residents and are testing each individual.

During this time, we ask that community members remain vigilant in following the safety guidelines that we have in place, including masking, good hand hygiene, etc. In addition, residents of this building do not need to quarantine while waiting for the results of their PCR test as they are vaccinated but are being asked to limit their common room activities and take their meals back to their room.

Resultantly, we will continue to restrict all non-Goucher residential students from visiting the residence halls. Residential students can visit each other between the halls, but no outside guests will be allowed until further notice.

Any students with symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately contact the Student Health Center for evaluation and testing. For more information regarding Goucher’s Covid-19 positivity rates and protocols, please view the Return to Campus website and Covid-19 dashboard
