As Goucher moves forward with the Lewent Science Center, our contractors continue to prepare the site for construction with the installation of fencing and the relocation of access and egress points. Selective demolition will continue, and abatement work will restart in the Hoffberger Moment Wing, which will limit access to some rooms in the building.

The next phase of construction activities for the Lewent Science Center will begin Tuesday, May 27, 2025, with the contractor mobilizing the site work and installing the construction fencing.

We are excited to report that early construction activity for the Lewent Science Center will begin as soon as Wednesday, April 9th. This initial effort will create a new exit on the G-Level of the Hoffberger Science Building.

I am writing to you with more exciting news about the Lewent Science Center. As shared during last Wednesday's Town Hall and via the email you received yesterday, the groundbreaking celebration is planned for April 24. However, the construction activities will start as soon as this week.
