Campus Construction Update
Goucher Community,
We are pleased to report that construction activity on the new Lewent Science Center is progressing as scheduled. To help continue our progress, utility work in and around the construction site will be expanded. This work will likely result in short periods of interrupted utility service(s). Examples of possible utility impacts include, but may not be limited to, loss of electricity, loss of water, or low water pressure. We anticipate these periods to be less than a few hours and limited to spaces within the Hoffberger Science Building.
To help minimize operational impacts, this work will only be conducted during weekends. Starting this Saturday, July 12th, the additional utility work will begin. The work will be paused before Monday, July 14th, and begin again on Saturday, July 19th. Utility work will continue every Saturday during the month of July.
Spaces outside of the Hoffberger Science Building should not be impacted. However, if you experience a utility outage in your area, please contact Facilities Management Services (FMS). FMS can be reached by texting or calling 410.337.6166.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Erik Thompson
Vice President for Campus Operations
