Campus Construction Update

Dear Goucher Community,

The work on the ground floor of Hoffberger is now complete. The project's site fencing has also been completed. The remaining work inside of Hoffberger is only in the moment wing with continued demo and abatement efforts scheduled to be completed early next week.

What is Next

There is a shutdown of domestic water in Hoffberger scheduled for Friday, June 20, 2025. Domestic water will be shut off starting at noon but reestablished later that day. Following that work, the sanitary water line to Hoffberger will be shut down on Saturday, June 21, 2025. This means that bathrooms in that building shouldn’t be used on Saturday. The associated domestic water and sanitary water line work will impact the access road to Kraushaar starting Friday at noon. Please follow all signage for pedestrian and accessible access.

What to Expect

  • Construction noises: Crews will be on site weekdays during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • Parking: All faculty, staff, students, and visitors are encouraged to utilize the Dorsey parking lot or other campus lots rather than Hoffberger.
  • Traffic: At this point in construction, the impact to Loop Road will be minimal. Occasionally, large trucks will be delivering materials to the site.
  • Signage: Everyone is required to always abide by all posted signs and notices. They are intended to keep our community safe and informed.

As always, we thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to improve our campus.

Regards,
Erik Thompson
VP for Campus Operations
