Construction Update: Whiting-Turner Project

Dear Goucher community,  

This week, construction activities to prepare the site for the new Whiting-Turner Contracting Company headquarters will begin.  

As previously announced, Whiting-Turner’s corporate headquarters will be relocated onto the parcel of land currently occupied by the Peabody Preparatory program at the corner of Dulaney Valley Road and Southerly Road.  

Whiting-Turner will first install perimeter construction fencing around the site, then their crews will start to prepare the site for the construction of the new building structure and infrastructure that will begin in earnest this summer. 

Through Goucher’s strategic partnership with Whiting-Turner, this state-of-the-art facility, once completed in late 2028, will permit Goucher to offer innovative new experiential learning and internship opportunities for our students in a range of disciplines.  

We know that any construction on campus brings with it the potential for inconvenience. Therefore, we will be working closely with the team at Whiting-Turner to minimize any disruptions as much as possible and will endeavor to continue to keep you informed as work progresses.
