Construction Updates
In our ongoing effort to keep our campus and the community well informed, the Office
of Campus Operations will provide regular updates on this website about campus construction

- June 3, 2026
As a part of the Lewent Science Center construction there will be a one-hour closure to a small portion of the Campus Loop Road just past the North Parking Lot this Thursday morning, June 4, 2026, from 6-7am to allow for safe crane lift activity.
- May 19, 2026
Today, construction crews will be finalizing their second access gate and asphalt apron to the Loop Road. They will use flaggers for traffic as they need to work in the road right-of-way. This will be completed today, and pedestrian access on the sidewalk will return to normal.

This week, construction activities to prepare the site for the new Whiting-Turner Contracting Company headquarters will begin.
