Degrees to Succeed: CCBC to Goucher College
The Degrees to Succeed program allows students to be dually admitted to the Community College of Baltimore County and Goucher College, creating a seamless pathway for community college students pursuing their four-year bachelor’s degree completion.

Guaranteed Admission — Associate degree earners get guaranteed admission to Goucher and no application fee.
Credit Transfer Guarantee — Block transfer of up to 64 credits, allowing for junior standing upon entry.
Advising from Start to Finish — Pre-transfer advising and streamlined credit evaluation, and ongoing success advising to support degree completion.
Peer Mentoring — Transfer-specific orientation and peer mentoring through Transfer Goucher Guides.
Expanded Opportunities — Access to certain Goucher facilities and events, and our global study abroad programs, while enrolled at CCBC.
Employee Discount — CCBC employees receive a 20% tuition discount on Goucher graduate programs, supporting
professional development and strengthening institutional partnership.
Financial Aid
Robust Financial Aid — Access $15,000–$35,000 in annual merit scholarships, plus additional awards for Phi Theta Kappa members, Honors participants, and associate degree completion. Explore financial aid for transfer students.
Full-Tuition Coverage — Maryland community college students are eligible for the Guaranteed Access Grant
or Pell (MD Advantage).
Eligibility & Next Steps
To be eligible for the Degrees to Succeed program, students must:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Enroll in an associate degree program at CCBC
- Enroll in the Degrees to Succeed Program within their first year at CCBC or prior to earning 30 credits.
