It is hard to believe that we are approaching the end of the semester already. We hope that you and your student are ready to reflect upon this semester and eager to relax during the Thanksgiving and winter breaks.
Thanksgiving Break: November 22-26, 2023
Winter Break: December 16, 2023, to January 27, 2024
This year Goucher College transitioned to a 10-month housing contract, which would allow students to access their rooms on campus at any point during any break period. Whether it is delaying travel at the end of the semester, returning early for the spring term, or residing on campus to enroll in our exciting J-term classes—your student will have access to their rooms. While dining will not be available on campus (due to capacity), every residential space on campus has a micro-fridge included. For additional information, go to our break housing webpage.
During the breaks, it is important to ask your student about their experience this past semester, including plans for the spring term. These discussions may include discussing academics, engagement on campus, travel, study, internships, and even post-graduation plans for seniors.
We hope that these discussions will allow for preparation and collaboration with the college for a successful Spring 2024 term.
