Demand and Growth

Business Management is another area of market need in the state and the region. A Learning House/WCET report (2017) to assess student preferences and experiences in online education lists Business as the most requested major for working adults seeking a fully online program. This student demand matches the equally strong market demand for business managers. A quick search on Indeed.com yielded about 8,000 jobs in this field in Baltimore alone, and about 15,860 jobs statewide, with a mean salary of $40,800. Additionally, BLS predicts that this field will grow 10% faster that other industries today.
