For outstanding efforts in academics, mentorship and leadership, Lalissie Eteffa '21 was named the recipient of The Maryland Daily Record's Top 100 Women Circle of Excellence Scholarship and Award. Her leadership roles on campus include the Black Student Union president and working as part of the Goucher Women of Color Coalition, the Student Engagement Team, Model UN, the Futuro Latino Learning Center, and as a First-Year Mentor.

According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, "Kibben brings decades of decorated experience in the military and the ministry..." Kibben was previously the first woman to serve as both the Chief of Chaplains in the U.S. Navy and chaplain of the U.S. Marine Corps.
