MS 0013 Estelle Dennis Dance Theatre Collection, 1913-1996 

Materials document the early dance career of Estelle Dennis, particularly with the Denishawn Dancers, and the repertoire of the Estelle Dennis Dance Theatre in Baltimore. View Finding Aid.

MS 0025 Louise Muse- Alicia Markova Collection, 1953-1999

Louise Muse began her career with the Estelle Dennis Dance Theatre as a student dancer in 1938, later becoming a dance teacher at the studio in 1948, and eventually serving as co-director of the company and school in 1986. In addition to meticulously maintaining the records of the Estelle Dennis Dance Theatre, Muse kept her own personal papers, which primarily document her 45-year friendship with the prima ballerina Dame Alicia Markova. 

MS 0026 Dance Programs Collection 

This collection includes printed materials (primarily dance programs) documenting individual dancers, dance companies and performances.  The main focus is on 20th century American and European ballet performers and companies.  The collection also contains dance programs that document folk genres and international dance styles.  A small group of printed ephemera documents dance festivals and individual dancers.  Some programs contain biographical profiles of performers, and illustrations and photographs by significant artists such as Leon Bakst, Pablo Picasso and George Platt Lynes.

MS 0032 Printed Sheet Music Collection 

Over 1,000 pieces of historic sheet music. Manyof pieces include the dance notations. View parts of the collection in the Goucher College Digital Library

MS 0042 Doris Humphrey Collection

The Doris Humphrey Collection, 1902-2008, includes correspondence, genealogical materials, photographs, programs, clippings, and other printed material. It is arranged into Personal and Family History, Professional Work and Legacy, and Dancers and Choreographers. View Inventory.

MS 0043 Mino Nicholas Doris Humphrey Collection

A modern dance director, choreographer, and performer, Minos (“Mino”) George Nicolas  is especially well-known for his work in restaging the dances of Doris Humphrey (1895-1958). This collection consists of his research materials used in restaging Humphrey's work. 

MS 0047 Arlynne Stark Papers

Records and resources on dance/movement therapy from Arlynne Stark, a dance/movement therapist, past president of the American Dance Therapy Association, and the former director of Goucher College’s Dance/Movement Therapy graduate program.  The collection includes course notes and documents, research publications, video recordings, and materials from conference presentations and workshops.
