Application to a Masters in Public Health Program is made through a centralized application service; SOPHAS (Schools of Public Health Application Service). Students applying to MPH programs will need.
- a strong academic record
- a good standardized test score; usually the GRE, but a MCAT or LSAT will sometimes suffice
- a well written statement of purpose describing why you wish to pursue this field
- 2 or 3 letters of recommendation
Also note that in your application to an MPH program you will also be applying to a specific department; for example Health Policy and Management, Epidemiology, Statistics, Human Genetics, Community Health or Environmental and Occupational Health. Note that all of these departments will participate in the core course offered for first-year graduate students.
