The program combines natural and social sciences courses into a cohesive framework, training students to assess environmental threats, mitigate those threats, and communicate the effectiveness of those strategies to decision-makers and communities.

Every year, students in four of Goucher’s graduate programs come together for a weeklong residency on campus.

Students and faculty in our M.A. in Cultural Sustainability Program discuss the changing nature of cultural practices during COVID-19. Through Goucher’s ongoing partnership with the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, students were part of a course that explores issues surrounding how museums and festivals represent culture.

Goucher is offering both in-person and virtual experiences during our upcoming Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI), as well as providing AP Capstone training for educators from approved schools.

Queen Nur, M.A.C.S. '12, will once again host the National Heritage Fellowships awards for the National Endowment for the Arts. Join her March 4 for "The Culture of America: A Cross-Country Visit with the National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellows."
