Frances Johnson Lentz '45, who helped create the Baltimore chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), has been chosen as the 2019 recipient of the Alumnae/i Award for Excellence in Public Service.

"The Honey Bus: A Memoir of Loss, Courage and a Girl Saved by Bees," by Meredith May M.F.A. '11 earned a spot on USA Today's list of "5 books not to miss." May's work, which was her manuscript project while at Goucher, was also named an Amazon Book of the Month for Biographies & Memoirs.

Goucher students are diving into the political process this semester. Six Goucher students will present their senior theses at the Midwest Political Science Association in Chicago. Additionally, five students will attend the Model Senate at Stetson University in Florida, and 16 Goucher students attended the Model UN at Harvard.
