Three Goucher faculty members, Edgar Kunz; Verónica Segarra, Ph.D.; and Daniel Swann, Ph.D.; have received tenure. Kunz and Swann have also been promoted to the rank of associate professor and Segarra has been reappointed as associate professor.

Governor Wes Moore announced that the Maryland Higher Education Commission will provide grants to support federal workers secure jobs in education through targeted training, licensure support, and school district partnerships.

Robert Slocum, Emeritus Faculty in Biological Sciences, recently published a research paper in Frontiers related to his long-standing research interest in plant metabolism. The paper is entitled, "Modified pea apyrase has altered nuclear functions and enhances the growth of yeast and Arabidopsisa." Since he retired, he has remained active in research and publishing.
