On Thursday May 6, 2021 we kick off our 4th Goucher Challenge! This special day we
ask our entire community to come together and show you are #GoucherProud by participating
in making a gift.
The challenge begins on May 6, so check back then for the giving link!
The Goucher Challenge – By The Decades!
This year the decades have been challenged by their classmates! Can each decade reach 100 donors by the end of the day? When a decade reaches their goal, a lead gift will be unlocked for the college! A generous thank you to the decade lead donors:
1950s: Stella Platnik Yousem '54
1960s: Susan Haskell '66 and an anonymous alumna from class of '67
1970s: Melinda Burdette '72
1980s: Leslie Brewer '84 & Margaret “Peggy” Brewer Libbey '82
1990s: Jon Wexler '94
2000s: Gretchen Gilliland '03
2010s: Andrew Deal '14, Adam Mosey '14, Doug Falk '14, Sam Scholl '14, Dean Silverman ’14, and Melinda Burdette '72
2020s: Melinda Burdette '72
More Impact - All Gifts Matched
Gifts of all sizes and designations count in the decade donor totals. But we have a special opportunity to receive even more funds for the college! An anonymous donor has offered to match every gift made to the Greater Goucher Fund (GGF) or Parent and Family Fund at $0.50 to each $1, up to a total gift of $400,000 to the GGF. So make your gift have the biggest impact today by supporting the GGF or Parent and Family Fund!
Suggested decade by your affiliation
We hope you will participate in this special day in some way. If you choose to give, here are our suggested decades based on your affiliation:
- Alumnae/i can give to your decade
- Parents can give to your student’s decade
- Faculty and staff can contribute to the 2020 decade in support of our current students OR pick the decade you began working for the college
- Students can contribute to the 2020 decade in honor of their graduation to-come
- Friends of the college can pick the decade they want to support
If you identify with more than one affiliation above, you can decide where your participation will have the best impact.
