About the Exhibit

In Curvature of the Earth, Joyce Anitagrace presents mixed-media works concerning several inter-related ideas between logic and art. Anitagrace, a professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art, explores the intersection of philosophy and mathematics; the act of mark-making and marking time; and the concept of the horizon line as optical illusion, painting convention, and an edge that divides as well as connects.
