About the Exhibit

Amy Boone-McCreesh’s new body of work was created by using past works as a visual vocabulary. Through collage and a variety of mixed-media processes, the past elements combine with new compositions to create a cyclical and unifying visual experience. Digital processes clash with the handmade in an effort to create a dynamic personal aesthetic. The recycled imagery leaves the viewer unaware of the source while at the same time producing a new visual language. The result is a temple of visual excess: a colorful, maximal experience. Three-dimensional elements and wall vinyl allude to the world beyond the picture plane and expand the visual environment.
