Congratulations! Goucher Library awarded #1 New Landmark Library award.

Goucher College's Library and Athenaeum were awarded the top prize by a panel of judges in Library Journal's 2012 awards for New Landmark Libraries, which recognize "iconic" academic library buildings. The Athenaeum and its peer buildings were recognized for their design, sustainability, flexibility, innovation, beauty, and community engagement.

Library Journal's article called the Athenaeum "impressive" and "transformative", and noted the 47% increase in use since the opening of the new facility. For more information see the Library Journal's press release.
