Native American Heritage Month
In November 1990, the first National Native American Heritage month was proclaimed, and since that date, efforts to preserve the month in recognition of Native American culture-especially art and literature-have continued. In honor of the month, the Goucher College Library presents a Native American Literature exhibit, located on the 3rd floor entry-level of the library. The exhibit features an assortment of Native American authors and poets, including several collections of traditional Native American tales and folklore from a variety of different tribes. Come check out this vibrant and interesting exhibit throughout the month!
