Modern Marvels: Jewish Adventures in the Graphic Novel

Join us for a free five-part reading and discussion series called “Modern Marvels: Jewish Adventures in the Graphic Novel.” This series, a collaboration between the Goucher College Library and Baltimore County Public Library, will explore Jewish literature and culture through scholar-led discussions of five contemporary graphic novels. Read an essay on these books by Prof. Jeremy Dauber.

All sessions will take place on Sunday afternoons at the Towson Library, 320 York Road, Towson, Maryland. Each meeting will begin at 2 PM, and will probably conclude between 3:30 and 4 PM. Dr. Arthur Lesley, Associate Professor of Hebrew Language and Literature at Baltimore Hebrew University, will lead a discussion of the book at each session.  See the Nextbook site for short summaries of these novels.
