Congo Week at Goucher

From February 27-March 2, 2012, the Peace Studies department and Goucher College's STAND chapter will be hosting "Congo Week", a week-long series of events about the ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the ways in which we as students, consumers, and Americans can help bring an end to a conflict which has claimed over 5 million lives. The week will include panels on conflict minerals and sexual violence in DR Congo, a lecture by John Prendergast, the founder of the Enough Project, films, and advocacy actions.  In support of the week, the Library has a display of Congo-related books on the 3rd level and a research guide for other Congo-related resources.
