The American West

Are cowboys, Indians, and goldminers the first people you think of in connection with America's Westward expansion?  Our intriguing new exhibit includes their stories, but also highlights books  that describe  what  the frontier experience was like for women, African Americans, and Hispanics. And be sure to notice the map of railroad routes into the West.
