Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

By the end of this program students should be able to:

  1. understand and competently apply psychological research methods.
  2. communicate effectively as it pertains to the study and practice of psychology.
  3. apply one's understanding of psychology to experiences outside the traditional classroom.
  4. identify the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, empirical findings, and historical trends in psychology.
  5. develop critical consciousness and an appreciation of a variety of ways of knowing.
  6. recognize, understand, and respect the complexity of sociocultural and international diversity in psychology and related fields.
  7. demonstrate comprehension of ethics in the field and build an ethical framework with regard to the study and practice of psychology.
