Provost Search Update

The provost search committee is well underway in the search for Goucher’s next provost.

In late September, the Isaacson, Miller team met with various constituents from Goucher’s campus to scope the position and more closely understand the opportunities and challenges ahead for Goucher and its next provost. Following their visit to campus, a position profile was developed and it went public in mid-November.

Also in mid-November, the role was advertised in The Chronicle of Higher Education, Diverse Issues in Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, and Women in Higher Education, in addition to the Isaacson, Miller and Goucher websites.

The search committee convened in early December for a progress review meeting and an initial discussion of candidate models and backgrounds. The search committee will assemble for a second time in early January to further assess potential candidates and will meet with semi-finalists the same month. Campus interviews are currently slated for February.

To apply, nominate, or suggest candidate ideas or sources the search committee, please forward those names along to https://www.imsearch.com/search-detail/S7-284.

Should any questions arise about the process, please email April, provost search chair at april.oettinger@goucher.edu.
