Over the past three months, Goucher has received three separate grants from the foundation totaling more than $65,000.

According to the American Library Association, Gelfand said, “This award signifies all the professional values I hold most dear – commitment to service, embrace of multiple literacies, diversity, collaboration, intellectual freedom, new technologies, and innovation in the spirit of learning."

Goucher College has announced the appointment of seven faculty members to tenure-track professor or professor of practice positions in a range of disciplines from across the college.

In her new book, launched February 2, Brooks-Bertram presents 120 letters she received from women all over the world expressing good wishes, personal struggles, and other stories for the new Vice President.

Goucher College will create the Collaborative Humanities Laboratory to enhance the study of visual, material, and historical culture using a $149,961 National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) grant. Goucher was one of only five institutions nationwide to receive a grant from the NEH's Humanities Initiatives at Colleges and Universities.
