In partnership with the Maryland Business Roundtable, Goucher welcomed high school students from throughout Maryland for Youth Congress Day. Building on Goucher's longstanding commitment to civic engagement, Nina Kasniunas, Goucher College associate professor of political science and director of Goucher Votes, and members of Goucher's Voter Mobilization Team led a Rock the Vote session for students.

For the 5th year in a row, the legal ranking guide The Best Lawyers in America has named alum Steve Klepper '97 a "Best Lawyer" in the area of Appellate Practice and Insurance Law. Steve is a principal in litigation firm Kramon & Graham in Baltimore, Maryland, and leads the firm's Appellate Group.

The libraries at Salisbury University frequented the list of the five worst college libraries for several years until Bea Betancourt Hardy '83 arrived in 2012. With a new building to call home and under the leadership of Hardy as Dean of Libraries and Instructional Resources, she is proud to sit at #23 on Princeton Review's list of Best College Libraries.
