Karen "Queen Nur" Abdul-Malik '13 MACS has been telling stories since she was 9-years-old. She travels the country and the world, making stops at storytelling appearances and events. Abdul-Malik continues to preserve African American culture through her folk telling efforts.

Goucher College president José Antonio Bowen will be receiving the Ernst L. Boyer Award from New American Colleges and Universities (NAC&U). The national award honors those who are making a significant contribution to American higher education. Dr. Bowen will receive the award on January 25, 2018 at the NAC&U national meeting in DC where he will also deliver a lecture entitled, "Technology, The Liberal Arts and the New Learning Economy."
