Jaired Tate

Assistant ProfessorChemistry

Dr. Jaired Tate is Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.  Originally from Atlanta, GA, he attended Florida A&M University, where he developed a deep interest in chemistry and earned B.S. and M.S. degrees.  He subsequently attended the University of Florida, completing his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (2015). His dissertation research focused on understanding electron transfer and energy transfer in ruthenium complexes on the ultrafast (femtosecond to picosecond) timescale. Jaired  arrived at Goucher in 2017 and has taught introductory and upper level chemistry courses.
