Campus Construction Update

Dear Goucher Community,

As Goucher moves forward with the Lewent Science Center, our contractors continue to prepare the site for construction with the installation of fencing and the relocation of access and egress points. Selective demolition will continue, and abatement work will restart in the Hoffberger Moment Wing, which will limit access to some rooms in the building.

What to Expect

In addition to the work mentioned above, we will be preparing the construction site for incoming materials and equipment. 

• Construction noises: Crews will be on site weekdays during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
• Parking: All faculty, staff, students, and visitors are encouraged to utilize the Dorsey parking lot or other campus lots rather than Hoffberger. Impacted areas are identified in the image below.

• Traffic: At this point in construction, the impact on Loop Road will be minimal. Occasionally, large trucks will deliver materials to the site.  
• Signage: Everyone is required to always abide by all posted signs and notices. They are intended to keep our community safe and informed.
