MACLM Faculty Member Susan Eleuterio Named 2026 Beacon Award Honoree by Illinois Humanities

Congratulations to Susan Eleuterio, adjunct faculty member in Goucher College's M.A. in Cultural Leadership and Management (MACLM) program, who has been named the 2026 Beacon Award honoree by Illinois Humanities as part of its annual Public Humanities Awards.

A nationally recognized independent folklorist, educator, and philanthropist, Eleuterio is a former board chair of Illinois Humanities. The Beacon Award, established in 2020, honors leaders who have expanded support for the humanities and elevated the role of civic engagement across Illinois.

Eleuterio will be honored at the Public Humanities Awards on September 23, 2026, at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

Her recognition reflects the kind of leadership at the heart of the MACLM program: a career spent connecting communities, culture, and civic life. We're proud to celebrate this honor with her.
