NPR’s Marketplace Highlights Goucher’s University Retirement Community Program

The national radio show discusses the partnership between Goucher and Edenwald Senior Living, highlighting why more colleges are collaborating with retirement communities to offer lifelong learning.

Goucher College President Kent Devereaux was interviewed, along with Goucher alumnae and Edenwald residents Ann Dahl ’60 and Pat Blanchard ’74, who audited a course this semester as part of the university retirement community programming. The intergenerational class, “Food, Nutrition, and Culture,” was developed and taught by Associate Professor Carolyn Schwarz and included both undergraduate Goucher students and Edenwald residents.
