HISTORY OF THE IMANI FUND:
In 2012, a group of Goucher College African American alumnae came together to collaborate and initiate an endowed fund to support Goucher students. The Imani Fund was created to encourage exploration and cross-cultural understanding through supporting the study abroad experience of selected students in the Maryland Scholars Program. The Imani Fund helps cover costs associated with this formative experience. In 2017, the Imani Fund was endowed. Through the generosity and support of alumnae/i, faculty, staff and friends, Goucher students can experience study abroad with less financial concern.
