Goucher Prison Education Partnership featured in The New York Times

The New York Times followed Maurice Smith ’19 on his journey from inmate to Goucher graduate.

  • This spring, three students previously enrolled through the Goucher Prison Education Partnership celebrated their graduation from Goucher College. Kenard Johnson '19, Maurice Smith '19, and Michael McKenny '19 (pictured above) participated in Goucher College's 128th Commencement.

Since 2012, the Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP) has been working to increase access to high-quality education for men and women in prison.
