CEO Launches Goucher Advantage Program
Goucher’s reimagined Career Education Office (CEO) is launching its new flagship program: THE GOUCHER ADVANTAGE.
The Goucher Advantage makes career education a central element of each student’s experience, through the curriculum, mentoring, and exposure to various professional environments. Beginning in the first semester and continuing throughout their time at Goucher, students will acquire the tools to embark confidently on their career paths.
Students will create their own career plans as they explore, design, and test personal interests and develop necessary skills to achieve success in whichever fields they choose. Students will leave Goucher prepared to pursue successful and meaningful careers and lives.
Across every students' Goucher experience, they will gain skills in:
SELF‑KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL BRANDING through the development of resumes, social media profiles, and personal reflection.
CAREER MANAGEMENT by practicing demonstrating their skills at interviewing and job/internship search strategies.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE through discovering opportunities for internships, student employment, community-based experiences, and campus leadership positions.
ALUMNAE/I CONNECTIONS* by utilizing skills in networking, accessing mentoring, and conscious community building to support their search.
The Goucher Advantage will provide an all-in model for students with entry points for career exploration at every stage of their time at Goucher.
