  • Arsht Presidential Diplomats

Twenty-seven students have been selected as the 2025-26 Arsht Presidential Diplomats at Goucher College. The Arsht Diplomats represent the college at community events and accompany President Kent Devereaux to meetings with government officials and civic leaders, while gaining professional development experience and skills.

This is the fifth cohort of the Arsht Diplomats. Supported by the Roxana Cannon Arsht ’35 Center for Ethics and Leadership, the program has been a success, with the diplomats taking part in leadership development workshops, high-profile Goucher events, and Board of Trustees committees.

“Being an Arsht Presidential Diplomat has been an immense honor,” said Tadeo Asprella ’26, now in his second year as a diplomat. “I have had the opportunity to connect with Goucher alumni and community leaders who inspire positive change both at Goucher and in Baltimore. This experience strengthened my leadership and communication skills while helping me better understand my strengths and how to grow as a student, future professional, and individual.”

Students in the cohort this year hail from across the United States as well as Argentina, Bangladesh, the Dominican Republic, France, Libya, the Netherlands, and Zimbabwe. These students are accomplished academically, take part in prestigious internships and scientific research, and engage deeply with the campus community as tutors, mentors, and athletes. They also participate in college committees, student government and organizations, and other leadership roles.
