Two Psychology Professors Selected for “Pedagogies of Pluralism” Learning Community
Dr. Gillian Starkey and Dr. Amanda Draheim were recently selected to participate in a new learning community. The program is part of Interfaith America’s Teaching and Learning Pluralism Cohort. Goucher’s program is titled “Teaching and Learning Pluralism Across Prison Walls” and the purpose of the faculty learning community is to develop new opportunities for and models of sustained, meaningful classroom interaction between students at Goucher’s Towson and Jessup (GPEP) campuses that draw on intentional pluralistic dialogue across difference.
Dr. Starkey will work on adapting her CPED class about the neurobiology of addiction to bridge the two campuses.
Dr. Draheim will explore opportunities for collaboration and conversation about suicide prevention as part of the CPE they are teaching at GPEP this spring.
Congratulations to both professors!
