Assistant ProfessorEconomics
Chimedlkham Zorigtbaatar is a feminist economist whose teaching interests span health, development, and labor economics. She received the William R. Waters Research Grant from the Association for Social Economics to conduct original fieldwork in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where she examined the division of domestic labor among younger populations. Her current research explores gender differences in time use and the unpaid household work of children and adolescents in Mongolia. As a dedicated educator, she brings her research into the classroom, sparking student engagement by connecting economic theory to real-world practice. Beyond academia, she enjoys writing in her spare time and has published a novel in Mongolian, which briefly appeared on the bestseller list for two weeks.
