Revised COVID-19 Protocols Restrictions

Dear Goucher Community,

As the positivity rates continue to decline in Baltimore County and Baltimore City, we also continue to review and revise our policies. Your efforts to keep our community healthy allow us to roll back some restrictions.

At this time, we will continue to require N95, KN95, or KF94 masks to be worn indoors through March and will reevaluate this policy following spring break. If our community continues to adhere to our guidelines regarding masking and the rates remain on a decline, we will discuss lifting mask mandates for April.

In addition, we are excited to announce that beginning Tuesday, March 1, we will allow outside guests into our residential buildings to visit. All visitors must be masked, and those found not in compliance with our masking mandate will be asked to leave and not be permitted to return to campus. As mentioned in the last email, we prefer all guests to wear N95, KN95, or KF94 masks, but surgical-type masks are the minimum requirement for guests only. The Office of Residential Life will be sending additional emails to residential students regarding visitation.

Please remember to check the COVID dashboard for updates. Students, if you haven’t already done so, please upload proof of your COVID-19 booster to your Medicat account. There is much to look forward to in the coming months, and if we continue to act in the best interest of our communal health, we can enjoy a successful spring semester.

Thank you for your cooperation and support. As always, please reach out with any questions.

Be well,

The COVID Management Task Force
