Physical Campus Remains Closed, Wednesday, Jan 28
Dear Goucher Community,
Due to ongoing recovery efforts from the winter storm, Goucher College’s physical campus will remain closed on Wednesday, January 28. Our FMS team continues to work vigorously to clear pathways, parking areas, and treat surfaces across campus. We appreciate your patience as this work continues.
Feel free to call or text FMS at 410-337-6166 if you have questions or become aware of specific problems on campus, including heating. You can also submit a maintenance request.
Classes
All undergraduate classes will be held online on Wednesday, January 28. Classes will be held via Teams. Professors will schedule a Teams Meeting and send the Teams link to their students with specific instructions. Please see instructions on scheduling a Teams Meeting. Online and hybrid courses with scheduled virtual meetings will proceed as normal unless otherwise specified by the professor.
We anticipate spring undergraduate in-person classes will begin on Thursday, January 29.
For any students prevented from attending classes due to weather conditions, we will follow established procedures under the academic notification of absences policy (PDF).
As a reminder, the add/drop dates will be extended by two (2) days to February 3 without an advisor’s approval and February 10 with it. View the Important Dates Calendar for details.
Administrative Offices
Administrative offices will be closed through Wednesday now with only essential employees' reporting as required. Managers will notify employees who are designated as essential. All other administrative staff and faculty should work from home. Staff who are unable to work remotely should contact their supervisor.
We anticipate the physical campus, and all offices will reopen for in-person operations on Thursday, January 29.
