Founded in 2023, Goucher College’s Black & African American Alumni Affinity Group (BAAAAG) exists to foster connection, celebration, and community among Black and African American alumnae/i and all who support its mission. BAAAAG is a vibrant, growing network committed to uplifting one another and supporting current students.

Our mission
To build a thriving, inclusive community of Black and African American Goucher alumni through:
- social events and celebrations.
- professional networking and mentorship.

Who can join?
Membership is open to all alumni of Goucher College and individuals of any background
who support BAAAAG’s mission and values.
What membership includes
As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- receive updates on events and initiatives.
- run for leadership positions within the Executive Committee.
- join subcommittees that shape our programming and outreach.
- submit ideas to help advance our mission.
- participate in voting and decision-making processes.
Member Expectations
We invite members to:
- attend semi-annual general meetings via Zoom.
- join a subcommittee (communications, social, mentorship)—if interested.
- participate in BAAAAG-sponsored and -supported events and initiatives.
- help spread the word to fellow alumni and current students.
- consider future leadership roles. Executive Committee members serve two-year terms, creating space for new voices and vision.
