Special Interest Housing

In special-interest houses, students create distinct learning communities and live with a unified vision. They come together to share interests and passions, learn from and support each other, and educate the larger campus community. Currently Goucher has five special-interest houses: healthy living, language, gaming, green, and live music.

Healthy Living: Students agree to live a substance-free lifestyle in a supportive environment that focuses on wellness.

Language House: Students foster the learning of foreign languages and culture by speaking a foreign language and attending different foreign language and cultural events

Gaming House: A central hub for campus gamers to partake in gaming activities in a friendly, social, and accepting atmosphere.

Green House: Dedicated to extending the environmentally sustainable visions of Goucher into the on campus housing. Students support each other to practice eco-friendly habits and engage in campus and community initiatives.

Applications for returning residents and new residents are due to Friday March 9th, 2012 at 5pm.
