    Need a study break? Come to the Library on Friday, November 1 between and 2-4 pm to learn about the Day of the Dead with our new exhibit (located on library stack level 3 near the oversize materials) and to help decorate a mask.

The Goucher College Library is taking applications for its Applestein-Sweren Prize, a competition for book collectors. The application deadline is Monday, October 21.     The Library is pleased to co-sponsor Ballots, Babies, and Banners of Peace: American Jewish Women's Activism, 1890-1940, a lecture by Dr. Melissa Klapper, Goucher class of 1995.  The lecture will take place on Wednesday, October 2 at 7 pm in the Batza Room of the Athenaeum.  This event is free and open to the public, but tickets must be reserved at www.goucher.edu/tickets.

    Goucher College Library now has access to two huge ebook collections  containing over 190,000 titles.  Look under the Articles and Databases tab for Ebrary which contains about 77,000 titles and Ebook Academic Collection (Ebscohost) containing over 120,000 titles.  They are great resources for current and recent books on all topics. Use the collection links to search the databases and see how ebooks can become a great tool for your research needs.  Remember if you are off campus you need to follow these instructions before searching the databases.
