To access Goucher's wireless network, you will need to log into the new "goucher" network using your Goucher username and password. We have provided simple, step-by-step instructions on how to connect using the Microsoft wireless utility for XP and Vista. Instructions have also been provided for Mac OS X. Most other wireless utilities will be able to easily detect "goucher." Therefore, you simply need to connect and then you will be prompted to enter your Goucher username and password. Please contact the Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 410-337-6322 if you are unable to connect.
Every person connecting to the "goucher" wireless network will need to register their laptops through Campus Manager. Campus Manager is a system that Information Technology uses to ensure that every computer that connects to the network on campus has the proper software installed to combat viruses and spyware. As soon as you connect to the network, launch your Internet browser and you will be prompted to register your computer. Please follow the directions on the screen to complete the registration process. For more information on Campus Manager, please visit the Campus Manager FAQ page.
Connecting to "gouchervisitor" only allows you to connect to the Internet. While connected to the visitor network, you will not be able to connect to internal network resources such as printers and file servers. Computers connecting to "gouchervisitor" will not need to go through the Campus Manager registration.
